Manhart’s MH7 700 Gives the Old BMW M760Li V12 New Muscle—and a Stronger Case Against Its Successor

German-based tuner Manhart is well-known for its famous tuning projects carried out on different BMW models, and its latest signature is on this gorgeous M760Li model from BMW`s 7-Series older lineup. That alone makes it notable, because this version of the 7-Series came with hardware BMW has already left behind.

Manhart called this project the MH700, which directly implies that the M760Li in question packs no less than 700 horsepower under the hood. Other than that, the model also comes with tweaks to the exterior.

Since power is the main core of this project, let`s talk numbers. The model in question uses the massive 6.6-liter V12 twin-turbocharged engine, capable of no less than 585 horsepower and 436 kW, along with 850 Nm of torque, in stock form.

However, thanks to mechanical upgrades, Manhart managed to extract 700 horsepower out of it. Unfortunately, the company did not go into every mechanical detail in the social media material—at least not the oily parts beyond the key upgrades—but the power increase is clearly the headline.

The route to that higher figure includes Manhart’s MHtronik Powerbox, a turbo upgrade, and a stainless steel exhaust system with valve control. With this setup under the hood, the present upgraded model can score higher than the standard`s 3.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

From a visual standpoint, the BMW M760Li V12 by Manhart sits lower, thanks to the tuner`s new air suspension. The car is now wearing new wheels, sized 21 inches, with six double spokes, while the brakes remain standard.

Manhart has also installed carbon fiber components around the body, including a front splitter and lip spoiler, as well as other high-end pieces. There is also an optional glossy black decal set available at extra cost.

The cabin has not been ignored either. Inside, the big sedan gets fresh brown and beige leather trim, custom embroidery, and a long list of equipment. That last part is vague, yes, but the source material makes it clear the interior still packs plenty of gizmos.

For fans of the outgoing 7 Series—especially those who still have a soft spot for a twin-turbo V12—this build lands at the right time. Or perhaps the wrong time, depending on how hard it makes the current car to accept. What Manhart has not released is pricing. Anyone curious about the cost of turning an M760Li into an MH7 700 will have to contact the tuner directly. Until then, the numbers, the stance, and the old-school twelve-cylinder layout do most of the talking.
