The BMW i8 was one of the BMW’s not so powerful models that had the looks of a supercar, and the power of a normal Sedan packing only over about 370 HP and a 1.5-liter hybrid assisted gasoline engine underneath it’s back panel, with those looks you should at least be able to show off your engine to a crowd, that being impossible to the BMW i8, it being almost completely covered.

The BMW i8 is currently dead. although the car manufacturer didn’t celebrate the end of its production, most likely because of the present pandemic, it had been officially declared that the production of the electrified sports car has halted by mid-April.

The i8 bid farewell to the planet with the subsequent final power output: 369 HP (275 kilowatts) and 420 pound-feet (570 Newton-meters) of torque. The i8 will go from zero to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 4.6 seconds in its stock kind. With this new power output, we should expect an improvement that puts it at low 4s, though DTE didn’t disclose any performance ratings simply yet.

According to DTE managing director Dr. Michael Krecek, increasing the i8’s power output was “quite a challenge,” however not with DTE’s model, of course. Of note, the PowerControl RX supports all advanced engine technologies, together with biturbo systems and hybrids. the company specifically mentioned in its unleash that it can even offer extra boosts to cars from Porsche, AMG, Audi RS, and BMW M.

Interestingly, DTE aforesaid that the enhanced output of the i8 additionally improved its fuel consumption by 15 % through the PowerControl RX.
