The 2022 BMW M8 Competition Coupe F92 is not exactly a slow car to begin with. In standard form, it delivers 625 hp (460 kW), or 617 hp in US specification, alongside 750 Nm of torque, rated at 553 ft-lbs in the United States. That’s already serious performance, and dAHLer looks at those figures and sees room for more.
Complete Powertrain Information
The Swiss tuner’s engine performance upgrade lifts output to 705 hp (518 kW), or 695 hp in US trim. Torque increases to 850 Nm, which translates to 625 ft-lbs for US models. The stated gains amount to 80 hp (59 kW) in EU specification and 78 hp in the US, with a torque increase of 100 Nm, or 72 ft-lbs for American cars. These figures are based on 98 octane fuel, corresponding to 93 octane in the US.
Installation is designed to be straightforward. The module works with cars produced both before and after 06/2020, and it does not require the removal of the DME. It connects in-line using OEM-style plugs to the boost pressure sensor, camshaft position sensor, and rail pressure sensor. dAHLer says the system installs in about one hour and remains completely reversible to OEM specifications.

The module runs as smoothly as stock and is compatible with all driving modes. Fuel economy, during normal driving, remains unchanged. It is not VIN locked, can be removed without leaving a trace, and can even be resold later. Developed in Switzerland and made in Germany, the system has been tested on the German Autobahn and carries TUV part approval under WLTC regulations. It is also EPA-compliant in the USA and backed by a worldwide 3-year product warranty.
App Control and Safety
Control happens through the free dAHLer Mobile app, compatible with iOS and Android devices via Bluetooth 4.0. Drivers can select between three different performance maps and update firmware worldwide as new versions are released. Extra power can be switched on or off using a smartphone, even while driving. A configurable warm-up timer is also included.
Factory safeguards remain intact, including overload protection and warm-up protocols. BMW software updates do not overwrite the tuning module, and factory diagnostics and service access remain available. The system is described as undetectable to plug-in diagnostic readers and leaves no traces. A valet connector allows the car to revert to stock maps when installed.
Exhaust System
dAHLer also offers a high-quality 1.4301 stainless steel axle-back performance exhaust system. Made in Germany at an ISO 9001:2015-certified facility, it is compatible with xDrive and RWD models, left- and right-hand-drive cars, and both OPF and non-OPF vehicles.

The valve-controlled, high-flow stainless-steel performance muffler is engineered to remain drone-free on the highway while delivering a more aggressive sound than stock. OEM exhaust hangers are reused, slip-joint connections are included, and no reprogramming or check engine lights are required. The system carries German TUV approval, European homologation under current emission standards, and EPA compliance for the USA. An optional remote-control device for the exhaust flapis also available.

In short, the M8 Competition Coupe F92 becomes something sharper — not reinvented, but clearly elevated.
